Poems, blurts and blurbs
2/28/23
Sparkling at my feet are crystals,
which, having fallen from the heavens,
now quilt the cold earth.
Blue and glimmering with moon and starlight,
the blanket will lie long and still,
only ruffled by my feet at midnight.
The crossing from house to house takes up a life
I am loved yet alone.
For this night, I go home,
sent on my way by one rich in starlore.
At the door she points out the Queen’s Chair
and Hunter’s Belt to guide me.
Tunes ring in my ears, songs settle on my heart.
My path would be longer, my voice would soar.
